The CTTC Incubator
The Carbondale Technology Transfer Center can provide a new tenant with facility space in its Small Business Incubator. The facility can have as little or as much space as is needed for start-up and for room to expand. No long-term lease is required and basic utilities are included in the Center's low rents.
A new business tenant in the Center's incubator will benefit from shared services that will cut costs and reduce risks. For example, the Center has a computer work room with Internet access and business database capabilities. A conference room and receptionist and secretarial services are also available.

Early Stage Financing
The CTTC makes low-interest loans and venture capital available to new business enterprises. Funding can be obtained earlier than through traditional sources with interest rates as low as three percent. Length of loans is flexible and even working capital can be financed.
Third Party Match-Up Programs
The Center can help small high technology firms identify and apply for the federal government's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) and other research and development programs which encourage cooperation with various federal research facilities to develop new products. CTTC also can identify for new firms qualified researchers, consultants, special testing and lab equipment and facilities.
Business Assistance Services
CTTC is able to assist new tenants with their business plans, marketing and feasibility studies, preparation of their loan package and guidance in electronic commerce. The Center also helps new firms to obtain financing by making them aware of all potential funding sources, including the Center's own Start-Up Fund, the Carbondale Enterprise Development Zone's revolving loan funds and various state financing programs offering preferred rates and status.
The Center continues to provide technical assistance to companies working with various technology applications. The CTTC has maintained linkages to the staff, facilities and equipment of federal laboratories. The Center also maintains relationships with the local offices of the Ben Franklin Program, PENNTAP, and the Industrial Resource Center. Tenants will be referred to these agencies for assistance where appropriate.
